Musings on the misty mountains

Walking up and up a mountain path through lichen-festooned forests and sitting down on grassy slopes surveying vermillion sunsets…

Sunset at Maya

Beyond these incredible sights, one of the things I miss most is the hospitality of the villagers and kids at Maya school. They would go the extra mile to lend you a hand always.

It was also heartwarming to see their optimistic attitudes towards life in general. It made me reflect on my approaches towards certain things. Overall, from the experience at Maya, you will become aware that generosity is a paradox: we, ourselves flourish and receive for giving up the time. And for me certainly, I have learnt more from these lovely people than what I could ever teach them.
